We love set-neck single-cut style guitars here, though they can run a bit on the heavy side — however, Godin utilizes a chambered Canadian laurentian basswood body that keeps the Summit Classic HT’s weight slim and comfortable. The top is a stunning carved maple that imparts a bold and bright snap to the Summit Classic HT’s rich tone. A sturdy silver-leaf maple neck is topped with a classic rosewood fingerboard in a highly playable 12-inch radius. Looking for tonal versatility? The Summit Classic HT’s custom Godin neck humbucker and bridge Zebra humbucker will dish out tones ranging from pristine cleans to all-out rock — and it’s all taken up a notch by engaging Godin’s HDR system that allows you to switch between active and passive pickup tones.
