Here's something you don't see every day - an original 1961 Martin 00-18E with a factory DeArmond pickup. A relatively "odd-ball" guitar for Martin, not many examples of these were made, and went relatively under-the-radar until the brother model of this, a D-18E, was used by Kurt Cobain on Nirvana's famous MTV Unplugged appearance. This one-owner guitar features a natural lacquer finish, with a mahogany back, sides, and neck. It also has a dark Brazilian rosewood fretboard and bridge; both of which are original to this guitar. This guitar has a fair amount of scratches and marks around the guitar consistent with a guitar of its age, but that withstanding, still feels solid and plays remarkably well - the neck is straight and the frets are in great condition. There is no structural damage to the instrument. This guitar also comes with a hard shell case that the original owner states was the case that he acquired with the guitar.
